Abstract
Two immature buzzards were captured and raised in cages small enough to prevent spreading of the wings until the birds appeared matured enough to fly. Upon release they made no attempt to fly, showed difficulty maintaining balance on a perch, and fell to the ground when gently tossed into the air. After further maturation and with the practice afforded in several test periods, flying gradually improved. One bird died before gaining much facility in the response. The 2d flew away with another group of buzzards which had alighted near it in a tree. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
