Abstract
A group of 45 children affected with celiac disease (CD) were typed for HLA-A, B, C, D and DR specificities. The most significant associations were found with 2 alleles of the D series, with both cellular and serological typing. The susceptibility to CD may be determined by 2 different genes within the HLA region, the 1st in common with organ-specific autoimmune diseases and associated with Dw3, the 2nd possibly specific for CD and associated with Dw7.This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
