Abstract
Material from Late Quaternary deposits in Europe have been examined and the two species Cassidulina reniforme Nørvang and C. obtusa Williamson have been recorded. These species have erroneously been synonymized with a number of other species during the last decades. Based on other records and our own material we conclude that C. reniforme seems to prefer an arctic and C. obtusa a boreal environment. It is therefore important to distinguish between these species when interpreting fossil faunas. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
