Abstract
Yeasts and their extracts have a high vit. Bc activity as measured in the anemic chick, but hardly stimulate growth of Lactobacillus casei. The chick antianemia factor was concentrated in yeast and chemically characterized. An identical vit. was isolated from liver. The yeast vit., held in the form of a relatively simple non-protein conjugate, is the source of chick antianemia activity. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
