Abstract
The theory of exchange narrowing of bands presented in a previous paper for the ferromagnet is extended to the case of the antiferromagnet. It is shown that the dynamic spin wave-electron interaction gives rise to a narrowing factor . depends upon the state of excitation of the spin system and increases with the number of antiferromagnetic magnons and hence with temperature. It is suggested that this effect may contribute to the high resistivity of a large number of antiferromagnetic compounds.
