Abstract
When Prometheus transgressed the law of the ancient gods and stole fire for humankind, to teach them civilization and the arts, his punishment was typically brutal. Jupiter had the great Titan chained to the side of Mount Caucasus, where a vulture preyed daily on his liver, which was renewed as quickly as it was devoured. Keywords
