Estrogen Antagonisms: Effects of Gluco- and Mineralocorticoids on Estrone-Induced Uterine Growth.

Abstract
Uterine growth in intact, immature mice was stimulated by injection of 0.3 [mu]g of estrone. When administered simultaneously, neither cortisone acetate nor cortisol acetate had any evident inhibitory effect. Deoxycortone (DCA) was a definite estrone antagonist. A preliminary test with aldosterone suggested that it too was active. The mineralocorticoids appeared to be of equal potency, about 10% progesterone.
