Abstract
Numerical calculations are presented for very small spin systems with free surfaces. Both Ising and classical Heisenberg spin systems are considered. The effect of the smallness on the phase transition of the system is investigated. The results can be discussed in terms of the analysis given by Ferdinand and Fisher [1] for the two‐dimensional Ising model. This publication has 27 references indexed in Scilit:
