Abstract
I have computed via Monte Carlo simulation the mass of the lightest scalar glueball in quarkless SU(3) gauge theory at lattice coupling β=6.0, 6.05, and 6.1. Combining these results with other recent string tension and glueball mass measurements, I extract a continuum glueball mass of m/ √σ =3.10(15), where σ is the string tension. From the behavior of the glueball mass with lattice size the mean glueball diameter and effective three-glueball coupling can also be determined.
