Abstract
The liver function of 73 children was followed by means of the colloidal Au test of Gray during treatment with sulfathiazole or sulfadiazine. The initial negative reaction changed to a marked positive in 13 children and to a slight positive in 11 children after 3-23 days of therapy. The changes could not be correlated with the amt. or duration of therapy. Forty-nine children showed no alteration in the colloidal Au reaction in from 3-42 days of therapy. Necropsy findings in 4 cases are included. Keywords
