To the Editor: Measuring of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure with an isometric technic has never been undertaken in healthy subjects. Yet this is the only way to determine the intact, physiologic CSF pressure.Fifteen healthy, paid volunteers, mosdy nurses and medical students, were examined. Six were male and nine female; their average age was 24 1/2 years, with a range of 21 to 32 years.
