Abstract
Thirteen boys (10-21 yrs.), with genital underdevelopment of varying degrees, received for several mos. intramuscular injections of the hormone (from 100 units a week to 300 units a day). In 11 cases there was an increase in the size of the external genitalia and the appearance of secondary sex characters. These 11 were obese; the two who failed to respond were thin. In 4 of 6 with cryptorchidism the testes descended after treatment. The cases treated in early adolescence responded most favorably. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
