Abstract
A double-blind trial of special design was used to test the efficacy of imipramine hydrochloride (Tofranil) in low dosage in an outpatient setting over a relatively long period. Depressive patients were given Tofranil and placebo at different times during the trial period, and the improvement and side-effects were assessed. Keywords
