Abstract
Microwave absorption phenomena have been investigated in single crystals of the rare‐earth metals Tb, Dy, Ho, and Er, at frequencies of 9.44 and 35.3 Gc/sec over the temperature range 10° to 290°K. Microwave absorption occurs at the critical field transitions for the antiferromagnetic phase. Additional absorption lines have been observed in the ferromagnetic phases of Tb and Dy.Keywords
