Abstract
A survey has been made of methods for studying the cell cycle in yeast with particular emphasis on the use of cultures synchronized either by selection or by induction. The results obtained by these methods are reviewed with reference to cell growth, nucleic acid synthesis, patterns of enzyme synthesis and changes in organelles. Keywords
