Abstract
It has never been clearly established how many spp. of trout of the genus Salmo occur in Kamchatka. Based on an examination of Kamchatkan specimens and comparison with other spp. of Salmo, the trout of Kamchatka probably represents a single sp., with both anadromous and non-anadromous populations. Its relationships are with the North American rainbow trout, Salmo gairdnerii Richardson.
