Penetration of Gamma Radiation through Iron

Abstract

Measurements have been made on the penetration through iron by ${\mathrm{Cs}}^{137}$, ${\mathrm{Co}}^{60}$, and ${\mathrm{Na}}^{24}$ gamma radiation in plane parallel geometry. Good agreement was obtained between the experimental transmissions and theoretical values computed from Spencer's polynomial method.
