Influence of Cold Work and Radiation Damage on the Angular Correlation of Gamma Rays fromIn111Nuclei Imbedded in Silver

Abstract
Measurements have been made to determine the effect of cold work and radiation damage on the angular correlation of gamma rays in the decay of In111 nuclei in silver. The correlation for well-annealed silver samples is also discussed. It is concluded that there is only slight attenuation in well-annealed pure silver specimens. Furthermore, both radiation damage and cold work influence the correlation.
