BENIGN TUMORS OF THE STOMACH

Abstract
Author reports on 35 cases in [male] and 23 in [female] , classified as fibro-adenomatous polyps, adenomas, fibromas, myomas, fibromyomas, adenomyomas, myxofibromas, hemanginomas, poly-posis, hypertrophied mucosa, dermoid cysts, and hypertrophied pyloric muscle. Benign tumors are largely symptomless, and can usually be detected fluoroscopically. In uncomplicated benign tumors there was no operative mortality. Many of the operations were done under local anesthesia.
