Study of theK−d→K−π+π−pnReaction at 2.24 BeV/c

Abstract
Results are reported for the following reactions: KnKπ+πn (301 events), KpKπ+πp (317 events), KdKπ+πd (11 events), and KdKπ+πpn where both nucleons have laboratory momenta greater than 250 MeV/c (245 events). The Kn reaction is dominated by the N*Kπ+[(71±7)%] final state. The Kp reaction exhibits KπN*++[(27±5)%], Kπ+N*0[(16±5)%], K*0N*0[(11±4)%], and Y0*(1520)π+π[(9±3)%] production. Phase-space background accounts for about 25% of the reaction. The KdKπ+πpn reaction with two high-momentum nucleons shows production of the N* and N*++. There is very little K¯*0 production.
