Abstract
The occurrence of microbial ribonuclease (RNase) has been reported by several workers (1–4), but most of the preparations reported so far except the RNase T1 from Takadiastase by Sato and Egami (5) were not so much purified. RNase of Bacillus subtilis was accumulated in a medium as well as amylase and protease. A 400 fold purification was achieved by acid treatment, ammonium sulfate fractionation and column chromatography. The results indicated that there were two types of RNases in a culture medium of B. subtilis. The present communication deals with the separation, characterization and partial purification of RNase of B. subtilis. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
