Abstract
Summary Dithiazanine iodide, given orally to mice infected with Trichinella spiralis, proved effective at 2 and 4 mg levels/kg body weight only if given soon after infection. The same concentrations of drug given on the 7th, 14th, or 21st day after infection for 3 days did not cause a reduction in the number of larvae recovered. Dithiazanine at 1 mg/kg of body weight caused no reduction in larvae regardless of the time interval between infection and administration. Keywords
