Abstract
Paradoxical hypersecretion of growth hormone during hyperglycemia has been observed in 2 adults with acromegaly and in a child with an optic glioma which encroached upon the hypothalamus. This abnormal secretion of growth hormone was not seen in 19 other patients with pituitary tumors. Short stature, despite high fasting plasma levels of growth hormone, was an additional unusual feature in the patient with the optic nerve tumor. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
