Abstract
The dispersion relations for the optical and acoustical vibrations in the [100] and [110] directions in germanium have been determined by means of cold-neutron scattering measurements. An improved experimental method has provided data with smaller experimental error. The theoretical interpretation of the results indicates a long-range force between germanium atoms. Keywords
