Abstract

The new compounds BaMn₂Sb₂, BaZn₂Sb₂ and BaCd₂Sb₂ have been prepared and structurally characterized. The crystallographic data are: BaMn₂Sb₂: I4/mmm, a = 441.8 ± 0.6 pm, c = 1440 ± 2 pm, ThCr₂Si₂ structure, BaZn₂Sb₂ : Pnma, a = 1053.9 ± 0.8 pm, b = 450.2 ± 0.2 pm, c = 1163.9 ± 0.8 pm, BaCu₂S₂ structure, BaCd₂Sb₂: P3̅m 1 , a = 477 ± 1 pm, c = 808 ± 2 pm, Ce₂O₂S structure
