Low Lying States of theF2-Color Center

Abstract
The low lying states of the F2 center in KC1 have been calculated by a new method. Its relation to the M band in an ionic crystal is discussed. The M1(M), M2, M3 and M4 bands in an ionic crystal are also considered.
