Temperature dependence of the structure of liquid mercury up to 250°C

Abstract
The temperature dependence of the structure factor of liquid mercury has been measured between -35° and 250°C by X-ray diffraction. The structure factors obtained were temperature-insensitive. The electrical resistivity was calculated using the Ziman theory and the model potential proposed by Evans, Greenwood, Lloyd and Ziman (1969). Good agreement with experiment was found.
