Abstract
The variations were studied in population samples from Sweden, Greece and Nigeria and in Swedish twin samples. The frequencies of the alleles Plf, Pi* and Pls determining the 6 standard phenotypes show marked regional variations. A series of rare phenotypes were described. One twin pair showing absence of placental alkaline phosphatase was concordant for Dysostosis cranio-facialis (Crouzon). Keywords
