Abstract
A method has been described for staining lymphocytic inclusions in patients with gargoylism. Films of peripheral blood are stained with May-Gruenwald-Glemsa and with toluidine blue. The inclusions, which are present only in a proportion of the lymphocytes, stain red to purple with May-Gruenwald-Giemsa and metachromatically with toluidine blue. The demonstration of these inclusions has been shown to be of considerable value in the diagnosis of gargoylism.
