Abstract
Ovulation can be induced with ease in the pregnant rabbit by the injection of urine of pregnancy. A second ovulation is often compatible with the continued development of the existing foetuses, though some subsequent disturbance of the normal parturition mechanism may occur. The corpora lutea formed after the induced ovulation have a shortened life history as compared with normal corpora lutea of pregnancy, and appear to exercise an adverse influence on the existing corpora lutea. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
