Abstract
The variation with temperature of solute atom density close to (within similar 10 Å) an edge dislocation is examined. The results of this analysis are used to predict the effect of temperature on the yield point. Good agreement is found between theoretical prediction and three apparently dissimilar experimental results. Keywords
