Abstract
A neurotropic virus was isolated from brain tissue of a horse and mule, both dead in Trinidad from apparent encephalomyelitis. The virus was inoculated into mice, guinea-pigs and chick-embryos and presented identical properties to Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis strain virus. Vaccine prepd. from the former virus protected mice equally against both viruses, indicating the 2 have immunological identity. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
