Abstract
Three series of experiments were carried out to determine the effect of the fungicide, captan, upon reproduction in the two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus telarius. The fungicide was used at 2 pounds of 50% captan, and 4 pounds of 50% captan/100 gallons of water. Lima beans and pea plants were used as host plants. The results indicate that captan has no effect or a slight inhibiting effect upon the populations of this mite. Information on the average number of progeny /female is included.
