SELECTED PROBLEMS IN ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY

Abstract
During the course of routine interpretations of ecg''s, tracings are encountered which are difficult to interpret. If the patients are followed to autopsy these difficulties become evident. This report illustrates some of the limitations in ecg interpretation by correlating autopsy and ecg data. It is believed that recognition of these limitations by the clinician should result in improvement in ecg diagnosis and, in turn, management of the cardiac patient.
