Brief Report: Observations on Conjugated and Unconjugated Blood Folate Levels in Megaloblastic Anemia and the Effects of Vitamin B12

Abstract
Vitamin B12 deficiency was associated with a rise in unconjugated folates and marked depletion of intracellular conjugated folates. The changes could be reversed by giving vitamin B12. These results probably indicate a way by which vitamin B12 and folic acid are interrelated at the cellular level.
