Abstract
In this paper, the process of controller design for nonlinear systems, using linear synthesis techniques, is examined. Specifically, proportional and integral control of nonlinear systems is investigated. The crucial role of integral action in linearization-based controller design for nonlinear systems is highlighted.Keywords
