Rotational Magnetic Moment of OCS

Abstract
The first-order molecular Zeeman effect on the J=0J=1 and J=1J=2 rotational transitions in OCS is measured by using high-resolution microwave techniques. The g value obtained for the J=0J=1 transition gives the g value for the J=1 rotational state. The value is g=0.02851±0.0004. The g value obtained for the J=1J=2 transition is an average g value for the J=1 and J=2 states. The result is g=0.02915±0.0005. The results are in good agreement with the molecular beam work.
