Energy Loss Spectra of Inelastically Scattered Electrons from Tungsten

Abstract
The energy loss spectra of electronsscattered from a W (100) surface were measured on both clean and gas covered (H2, N2, H2O, O2, CO) surfaces. Two additional peaks have been observed in the spectra from the clean surface and a 7.5−eV peak is observed upon H2O adsorption.
