Abstract
A modification of the Folin-Wu tungstic acid precipitation is described. An isotonic sulphate solution replaces the distilled water and the corpuscles, which contain the glutathione, remain intact. Definite non-sugar reducing effects are observed when the Hagedorn-Jensen, Shaffer-Hart-mann and Folin-Wu methods are applied to Folin-Wu tungstic acid filtrates. The effect is shown to be due to the non-diffusible reducing material, glutathione, derived from corpuscles. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
