Abstract

PdCl₂(CH₃CN)₂ catalyzed the cyclization of alkenyl β-keto esters in the presence of a stoichiometric amount of SiMe₃Cl to form 2-carboalkoxycyclohexanones in good yield with excellent regioselectivity.
