Experimental Test of Baryon Conservation

Abstract
A 162-m2 sr scintillation detector located 3200 m underground was used to look for high-energy fragments from baryon-nonconserving nucleon decay. A new lower limit on the half-life of the nucleon from 2×1028 to 8×1029 years, depending on the assumed decay mode, is established.
