Experimental Test of Baryon Conservation

Abstract
A 162- sr scintillation detector located 3200 m underground was used to look for high-energy fragments from baryon-nonconserving nucleon decay. A new lower limit on the half-life of the nucleon from 2× to 8× years, depending on the assumed decay mode, is established.
