Characteristics and Distribution of Impaired Hearing in the Population of the United States

Abstract

Data obtained by the U. S. Public Health Service were analyzed. Hearing loss was correlated with social history, clinical history, age, sex, and family income. The annual incidence of new deafness cases and other statistics are reported.
