Hyperfine Structure of Tritium in the Ground State

Abstract
The hyperfine splitting of tritium in the 1S122 state has been measured by the atomic beam method. It is found that Δν(T)=1516.70170(7)×106 invsec, where the number in parentheses indicates the uncertainty in the last quoted figure. Within the precision of the presently available value of the ratio of the magnetic moment of the triton and the proton, there is no experimental evidence of a hyperfine structure anomaly between tritium and hydrogen.
