Form of Transient Currents in Townsend Discharges with Metastables

Abstract
The form of the current is calculated for a Townsend discharge stimulated by a pulsed light beam, with particular reference to the current component initiated by metastable effects. The calculation is directed particularly to the development of methods for quantitative interpretation of current patterns observed experimentally.Keywords
