Abstract
Time-resolved and time-integrated measurements of the energy, spectra, and other characteristics of the backscattered laser radiation from a laser-produced plasma are presented. Theoretical comparison shows that most of these measurements are consistent with the stimulated-Brillouin-backscattering instability. Keywords
