Abstract
The theory of anisotropic viscoelasticity is based upon the Onsager reciprocity relations. Experimental evidence presented here verifies this concept of matrix symmetry for time-dependent phenomena. A new experimental procedure for the characterization of orthotropic materials is presented.Keywords
