Kinking of the Brachial Artery

Abstract
ARTERIOSCLEROTIC disease of the major vessels may result in elongation, tortuosity, kinking or aneurysm formation. Aneurysms of the abdominal aorta are relatively common, and tortuosity and elongation of the thoracic aorta also occur rather frequently. Kinking of the carotid artery has been documented by Deterling,1 but kinking of the brachial artery has not been reported hitherto.This report details the first reported case of kinking of the brachial artery. As pointed out by Deterling,1 kinking of a peripheral artery may masquerade as an aneurysm.
