Abstract
The techniques for the removal of the pituitary gland of the guinea pig and the hedgehog by a parapharyngeal route are descr. 6 out of 9 hedgehogs recovered from the operation and lived until autopsied, at times up to 3 months postoperative. Only 5 out of 20 guinea pigs survived the operation for more than 3 weeks. Atrophy of the gonads and the accessory sex organs follows the operation. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
