Abstract
The influence of epinephrine on alood organic I131 in the rat was studied by means of the simultaneous administration of TSH and epinephrine or of thyroxine and epinephrine. The highest to lowest organic I131 levels in blood in the TSH-epinephrine expts. were: TSH alone, TSH and epinephrine, saline control, and lowest with epinephrine alone. In the ;hyroxine-epinephrine expts., the highest to lowest organic I131 blood levels were: saline, epinephrine, thyroxine, and lowest with thyroxine-epinephrine. The results may be explained by the Increased utilization of circulating thyroid hormone caused by jpinephrine. Keywords
