Abstract
Thyroidectomy in rats was followed by: a reduction in activity, sometimes showing fluctuation in cycles; reduction in food-intake; less reduction in water-intake; irregularity in estrous cycles. Symptoms were corrected by feeding small doses of thyroid. Large doses of thyroid produced symptoms of hyperthyroidism. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
